Guidelines & Etiquette
What You Need To Know
Our community guidelines and etiquette help us to pole safely in a conducive environment. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have!
Guidelines & Etiquette
Book before you come to the studio
- Classes available are at a variety of levels. Details on each class’s level and any pre-requisites are listed in Dance-Studio-Pro (DSP) for easy reference. Please also feel free to contact us with any questions on suitability.
- Classes can be booked online directly through DSP.
- Once classes have been paid for, students will be booked into the course(s) selected and so should choose their class commitments with care as all bookings are final and non-refundable. The Studio reserves the right to levy an administrative charge of $20.00 for class transfers for any reason (including work, travel, etc.). This also includes transfers to a different level of difficulty, or to another class of the same level in a different timeslot. Exceptions may apply, for example if a student wishes to transfer into a new timeslot that has just been opened.
Account Integrity
Each student is to maintain their own personal booking account on each platform for purposes of verification and ensuring accurate class attendance records.
Please do not book classes on behalf of others. The Studio reserves the right to turn away students who attend classes under the name of another registered student. Refunds will not be provided in such instances.
Please do not use school or workplace email addresses. Studio emails, including important account-related updates and class changes or cancellations, may be less likely to land safely in such inboxes due to firewalls and other email filters.
Arriving at the Studio
POLICY ON LATENESS AND ABSENCE FROM CLASS

- All classes start on time.
- Attendance will be taken before the class begins warm-up activities.
ONCE CLASS STARTS, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ENTRY.
Refunds will not be provided for students who arrive too late to join their class.

- Waitlists are not maintained for any full or sold out courses. Please contact us with any enquiries about joining courses that may currently be full.

Pole practice reservations can be made in DSP.

Private lockers
- Our private rentable lockers are intended for use by Starfire students in a responsible and hygienic manner. This includes refraining from storing perishable items such as food and drink within the locker unit and maintaining basic cleanliness of the storage facility.
- All private lockers are rented on a per term, non-shareable, non-refundable and non-transferable basis to individual students who are solely held responsible for any damage caused to the locker.
- Access to lockers is available just before and after classes in the studio. Access to lockers is not provided by the studio at other times. Students looking to access their locker outside of class times will need to purchase a pole practice booking to open the studio door.

- There will be no refunds or credit issued once the trial class has been booked.
- There are no make-up lessons for missed trial classes.
Drop-ins
Drop-ins for our 60-minute group classes are available at $43 per instance. You may join any class with available space on our term calendar.
- Please be aware that some classes (e.g. Flexibility, Conditioning, Pole Tricks) may lend themselves better than others (e.g. a choreography-based class) to individual drop-ins.
- We therefore recommend that you select your drop-in carefully, taking into account your past experience and fitness goals in the same area.
Please note
- You are only confirmed for the drop-in once payment has been successfully made and email confirmation sent out.
- If you come to the studio without a booking confirmation, you may be turned away if there is no space available.
- All sales are final, as a space in a term class is being consumed for such usage. There will be no refunds issued once the drop-in class has been booked.
- There are no make-up lessons for Drop-ins.
Make-up lessons
Make-up classes or swaps are subject to availability. There is no guarantee you will secure a suitable replacement every time. As much as possible, please endeavor to attend all of your classes; we wouldn’t want you to miss out!
If you know that you will not be able to attend a scheduled class in advance, you can pre-arrange a make-up lesson within the same term through either:
- Using our private Telegram group to arrange for swaps with other students. Direct swaps will ensure that you have a confirmed spot in the class.
- Tagging your instructor in the private Telegram group to ask about availability for dropping into their class as a make-up lesson.
Privately arranged swaps are unlimited in terms of occurrences.
MAKE-UP CLASS OPTIONS
The make-up class must be of the same class type or lower than your original class rating, and of the same price or lower.
NOTES
- Flexibility and conditioning classes can be used to make up for any missed class type, subject to availability.
- If you have missed a flexibility or conditioning class and there are no other classes at or below the same pricing tier that you can choose from, you may opt to top up to attend a different class with available space. Please email us to arrange for such make-up classes.
- Pole Practice sessions can be used to make-up for missed classes. Such make-up opportunities must be completed either within the term itself, or within first two weeks of the following term at the latest. Otherwise, such make-up opportunities will be forfeit.
- Workshops cannot be used to make-up for missed classes.
- If the class you’re making up with is full, please be prepared to share a pole.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Please consider your classes carefully prior to booking; class credit, refunds or transfers will not be provided if you cannot attend any of the available make-up options.
- All make-ups remain subject to space availability within the same term. There are no make-up lessons for missed make-up lessons for any reason (including work, travel or health-related). All unused lessons are considered forfeited at the end of the term.
