If you are below 18 years old, please obtain the consent of your parent or legal guardian before joining us in any activity.
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
You hereby acknowledge and agree that you have of your own volition and at your own risk chosen to participate in the classes, practice sessions, performances and/or use equipment provided by Studio Starfire (“Studio Starfire Activities”). You further understand, acknowledge and agree freely and voluntarily that due to the nature of pole fitness and Studio Starfire Activities, the activities you would engage in, including executing pole tricks and participating in exotic pole and chair dance, come with inherent risks and dangers that may cause injury, be it physical, bodily or otherwise, if not executed properly or as instructed. Before enrolling with Studio Starfire and joining us in any activity, you should where necessary seek the advice of a physician. As Studio Starfire is a pole fitness studio and not a medical organisation, Studio Starfire and/or our studio instructors cannot give you medical advice or diagnosis. Studio Starfire reserves the right to terminate your enrolment if we discover any undisclosed health conditions which would, or would likely, affect your ability to participate in any Studio Starfire Activities; in the event that the relevant Studio Starfire Activities have commenced, we may at our sole discretion provide a full or partial refund for any fees paid.
You understand and agree that it is your responsibility to select the appropriate level of courses available at Studio Starfire based on your skills and abilities, to judge your physical and mental capabilities at all times while engaging in Studio Starfire Activities, and to ensure that you will not exceed your limits while engaging in Studio Starfire Activities. You understand that, from time to time, Studio Starfire and/or our studio instructors may suggest physical adjustments, or the use of equipment but it is ultimately your responsibility to determine if any such suggested adjustment or equipment is appropriate for your level of ability, physical and mental condition. You acknowledge that it may not be possible for our studio instructors to provide supervision, safety instructions and recommendations to you at all times, in particular for group classes. You also understand that use of equipment available at Studio Starfire premises constitutes an acceptance of said equipment on an “AS IS” basis. You are at liberty to cease or suspend participation at any time if you make the judgment that you are unable to continue or execute any action, or if you feel that any action may pose danger or cause injury to yourself.

You expressly waive and release any claim that you may have at any time for injury of any kind against Studio Starfire, its directors, principals, instructors, independent contractors, employees, agents, contractors, affiliates, and representatives. You hereby expressly agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Studio Starfire from and against any and all claims, lawsuits, actions, liability, damages, loss, costs or expense, including legal fees incurred as a result of injuries sustained, death, personal injury or damage to property caused by, arising out of or incidental to Studio Starfire Activities. In addition, you hereby voluntarily hold harmless Studio Starfire from any and all claims that may be brought by my family, state, heirs or assigns.
You agree that this Waiver and Release of Liability is effective for as long as you engage in Studio Starfire Activities and throughout the duration of your relationship with Studio Starfire.

Students shall strictly adhere to any guidelines provided by Studio Starfire, whether in writing or verbally, including behaviour-related guidelines, code of conduct, health and safety guidelines relating to COVID-19, and location of services. Please refer to our Guidelines and Etiquette.
FITNESS TO ATTEND CLASS
Students should make their own judgement as regards their fitness to attend classes, in particular whether they are physically fit and mentally capable of performing the chosen physical activity. Students are expected to communicate any physical and psychological concerns that might affect participation in any class or activity, including informing the studio instructor if the student is new to pole fitness or exotic dance, pregnant, or has any health conditions or injuries. Students with any past or present health conditions or injuries shall have discussed the appropriateness to participate in any class or activity with their medical practitioner prior to attendance, and if students so choose to knowingly proceed and participate in such class or activity shall do so at their own risk.
CONDUCT AND BEHAVIOUR
Studio Starfire reserves the right to turn away or exclude any individual from the premises and any of our platforms without cause, reason or notice and with immediate effect in the event of any conduct or behavior-related concerns which may cause nuisance or be injurious to the character or interests of Studio Starfire, students or staff, or if Studio Starfire is of the opinion that the individual concerned is not suitable for continued patronage of Studio Starfire. All decisions of Studio Starfire to turn away or exclude any individual from the premises are final and binding. Refunds for incomplete or unattended classes will not be provided in such instances, without exception.
All classes require a minimum number of students to start. If there are insufficient sign-ups for a class, Studio Starfire reserves the right to make all necessary adjustments, including cancelling, rescheduling or combining classes as required; students will be notified in such instances. If a class is rescheduled to a date or time slot that the student is not able to commit to, Studio Starfire will either provide the affected student with (i) credit(s) for the purposes of booking a future class or workshop, or (ii) a refund, in which case the maximum liability of Studio Starfire is limited to a full refund of the impacted class or activity.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) letters are not accepted. Studio Starfire reserves the right to provide a refund or partial refund for any fees paid at our sole discretion, based on the date of the medical certificate or letter, and not how many classes have been attended or missed.

|3rd and 4th week||60% of 4 classes remaining|
|5th week||50% of 3 classes remaining|

CLASS TRANSFERS/CHANGE REQUESTS
Once students have successfully completed payment for classes, students are booked into the course(s) selected and so should choose their class commitments with care. Studio Starfire reserves the right to levy an administrative charge of SGD 20.00 for each class transfer or change request, including transfers to a different level of difficulty, or to another class of the same level in a different time slot.
Drop-ins for Studio Starfire’s 60-minute group classes are available at a flat fee of SGD 40.00 per instance. Students may join any class with available space on our term calendar, and should select their drop-in carefully, taking into account past experience and fitness goals in the same area.
Students are only confirmed for the drop-in once payment has been successfully made and an email confirmation is sent out. Students who come to the studio without a booking confirmation may be turned away if there is no space available. There are no make-up lessons for Drop-ins.
Students are welcome to utilize the options that Studio Starfire has made available to make-up any lessons they may miss in advance, including a Facebook page for assisting with direct make-up class swaps between students, tagging of Instructors for assistance, as well as manual Studio assistance with individualized make-up requests. Due to limited manpower, complimentary manual Studio assistance will be rendered a maximum of two times per student per class per term. Subsequent requests to change/swap/make-up individual classes may incur an administrative fee of SGD 5.00 per request for assistance.
Make-up classes must be of the same class type or lower than the original class rating, and of the same price or lower. Flexx (flexibility & conditioning) classes can be used to make up for any missed class type, subject to availability. There are no make-up lessons for missed make-up lessons.
Students who rent any private locker from Studio Starfire shall use such rented private locker in a responsible and hygienic manner, including but not limited to refraining from storing perishable items such as food and drink within the locker unit, refraining from duplicating any locker keys and maintaining basic cleanliness of the storage facility. Students shall keep their belongings and personal property in the rented private locker at their own risk, as Studio Starfire cannot guarantee the prevention of theft or damage to your belongings and personal property, and accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to locker contents which are not reasonably foreseeable or within our control. All private lockers are rented on a per term, non-refundable and non-transferable basis to individual students who may be held responsible for any damage caused to the locker.
PRIVATE STUDIO RENTALS AND PRIVATE CLASSES
Students shall make full payment for any private studio rentals or private classes at least one week in advance of the booking date. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations.
Students are expected to abide by the following rules for pole practice sessions:
- not to share poles;
- to pay an administrative fee of SGD 5.00 for assistance to cancel or change such bookings, regardless of circumstance (including but not limited to work, travel or due to medical reasons);
- that cash refunds will not be provided but that credits for use within 180 days against payments for 8-week classes only will be issued instead;
- to refrain from providing instruction to others, formally or informally for reasons related to student safety; and
- not to film or photograph other individuals without their prior permission.
Students also acknowledge that pole practice slots remain subject to Studio scheduling requirements, and may be closed for maintenance and other activities. On such occasions, any active pole practice session bookings will be cancelled, and a full refund issued for any impacted reservations.
Students holding instructor-level positions at other studios are welcome to join Studio Starfire’s classes; however, Studio Starfire shall give amateur learners priority to participate in classes. In the event that classes are fully or over subscribed, we may kindly request that instructor-level students give up their booking slot and Studio Starfire shall provide a full refund prior to the start of the class.
All sales of retail products (including but not limited to grip aids, pole wear, shoes, shoe protectors, pole cloths and any other accessories) at Studio Starfire are final. No cash refunds will be provided, without exception. For hygiene reasons, trying-on of pole wear, shoe protectors and shoes are not permitted.
